The Election Commission of India has announced the General Elections to Puducherry Legislative
Assembly to be held on 06-04-2021. The Election Commission of India has issued several instructions for
monitoring expenditure during the elections as a part of curbing the use of money power during elections.
Hence, in order to assess the election expenditure of contesting candidates, in respect of the various items
commonly used in election campaign, the rates have been finalized by the District Election Officer, Karaikal, as
given in the Annexure. The same are hereby notified for information of the general public, political parties and
interested persons for assessing the election expenditure during the ongoing General Elections to the Puducherry
Legislative Assembly, 2021. The Election Expenditure Monitoring Cell will assess the expenditure based on the
rates given in the Annexure or the actuals whichever is higher.
