HEALTH SECRETARIAT

NOTIFICATION

The Lieutenant-Governor is pleased to accord

approval for engagement of 151 General Duty Medical

Officers on contract basis for a period of 90 days, as

detailed below, with a view to tackle the second wave

of COVID-19 pandemic effectively.

2. The conditions for the engagement are given

below.

(i) The

minimum

educational

and

other

qualifications, experience and age-limit for the

engagement shall be prescribed as specified in the

Schedule-V of the Pondicherry Health Services

(Allopathy) Rules, 1998.

(ii) The remuneration payable to the selected

candidates is ` 40,000 per month.

(iii) The selection of the candidates shall be

based on their performances in the academic

qualification and in the walk-in interview. For

selection, the marks obtained in the academic

qualification shall be taken into account for 50% and

that in the walk-in interview shall be taken into

account for the remaining 50%.

(iv) The performance of the candidates appearing

for the walk-in interview in Puducherry region shall

be assessed by the Selection Committee, comprising

the following Officers, in person and that of the

outlying regions of Karaikal, Mahe and Yanam

shall be assessed by the Committee through Video

Conferencing.

In the case of outlying regions, the District

Collector, Karaikal, Regional Administrator, Mahe and

the Regional Administrator, Yanam, as the case may

be, shall participate in the interview process along

with the candidates appearing for the walk-in

interview in their regions.

(v) The details of the walk-in interview shall

widely be published/advertised in the leading English

and Tamil/Malayalam/Telugu newspapers of the

concerned region through the Department of

Information and Publicity, Puducherry. The same

shall also be hosted in the official website of the

Health Department and also in the private news

channels of the respective region.

(vi) The contract stands terminated on expiry of

the period of engagement of 90 days. The contractually

engaged candidate does not have any claim over

permanent or regular employment in the Department,

as this is purely a temporary contractual engagement.

This clause shall be incorporated in the offer of

appointment as one of the service conditions.

3. This issues with the concurrence of Finance

Department vide their I.D. Note No. 3029/FC/FD/F4/A1/

2021-2022, dated 22-04-2021.

TENDER NOTICE

Sealed tenders offering the total rates are invited for

sale of sports article items of the following two Schools

(i.e.,) GHS-Kovilpathu, Karaikal and BGMS-Neravy,

Karaikal.

1. The sealed tenders should be addressed to the

Headmaster of the above-mentioned Schools and duly

superscribing on the envelope as “Tender for the

purchase of sports article items” and shall be received

on or before 20-05-2021 up to 2.00 p.m. The tenders will

be opened on the same day at 3.00 p.m. in the presence

of tenderers who are at present.

2. The intending tenderers should deposit a sum of

` 500 (Rupees five hundred only) as earnest money

deposit.

3. The earnest money deposit of the unsuccessful

tenderers will be refunded immediately after the tender

sale is over.

4. Tenders received after the due date and time will

be rejected.

5. The successful tenderer should pay the full

amount immediately and remove the articles from the

office premises within 24 hours at his/her own cost and

risk failing which will be forfeited his/her earnest money

deposit.

6. No claim about the quantity or quality of the items

will be admitted once the tender is finalized.
