NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred under sections 2 and 3 of the

Epidemic Diseases Act, 1897 (3 of 1897) and in partial modification of

“The Government of Puducherry Epidemic Diseases (COVID-19)

Regulations, 2020” as amended “The Government of Puducherry

Epidemic Disease (COVID-19) (Amendment) Regulations, 2020”

(hereinafter referred as Regulations), the Lieutenant-Governor,

Puducherry, do hereby makes the following amendments to the

Regulations, namely:-

1. These regulations may be called as “The Government of Puducherry

Epidemic Disease (COVID-19) (Amendment) Regulations, 2021”.

2. In the said Regulations, clause 4A shall be substituted by the

following, namely:-

“4A - Preventive Measures:-

A person shall abide by the restrictions/lockdown orders

under the Disaster Management Act, 2005. Further, a person

who is under quarantine/isolation shall duly observe the

quarantine/isolation norms as prescribed for management of

pandemic”

3. In the said Regulations, clause - 5A shall be substituted by the

following, namely:-
