NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred under proviso to section (1) of the

section 20 and the second proviso to sub-section (1) of section 34 of the Rights to

Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 (49 of 2016), the Lieutenant-Governor of

Union territory of Puducherry, having regard to the nature and type of works carried

out in the ‘Police Department’, hereby exampts the Police Department, Puducherry,

from the provisions of the said section in the matter of reservation of posts for

persons with disabilities.

2. This issues with the concurrence of the Commissioner for Persons with

Disabilities, Puducherry vide I.D.No. 1982/DSW/DD/HW-1/2021, dated 17-08-2021.
