TENDER NOTICE

Sealed tenders offering rate per kilogram are invited

for the disposal of condemned unserviceable library

books, newspapers and magazines belonging to the

library of this Institution as detailed below :

Terms and conditions

1. Tenders superscribing on the envelope as “Tender

for the purchase of unserviceable library books,

newspapers and magazines” should reach the Principal,

Avvaiyar Government College for Women, Karaikal, on

or before 05-10-2021 (Tuesday) at 3.30 p.m. The

tenders will be opened on the same day at 3.45 p.m. in

the presence of the tenderers, if any.

2. The intending tenderers should deposit an earnest

money of ` 500 (Rupees five hundred only) while

submitting their tenders.

3. The earnest money deposit of unsuccessful

tenderers will be refunded after finalizing the tenders.

4. Tenders received after the stipulated date and time

will not be accepted.

5. The successful tenderer should pay the amount

in full immediately and remove the articles at his/her

own cost.

6. GST will be collected on the sale of unserviceable

library books as per the rate prevailing at the time of

disposal/sale.

7. The Principal, Avvaiyar Government College for

Women, Karaikal, reserves the right to accept or reject

any or all the tenders without assigning any reasons

thereof.

8. The intending tenderers can inspect the items

during working hours with the permission of the

Principal.

9. No claim about the quality and quantity of the

articles will be entertained once the tender is finalised.

10. In case of any dispute, the decision of the

Principal, will be the final and binding on all concerned.

2. Tenders in sealed cover, duly superscribed with

the words “Tender for the purchase of unserviceable

and obsolete e-waste articles” should reach the

undersigned on or before 23-09-2021 by 10.00 hrs. The

tenders will be opened on the same day at 11.00 hrs.

3. The rates should be quoted as a single lot.

4. The intending tenderers should pay an amount of

` 18,350 (Rupees eighteen thousand three hundred and

fifty only) as earnest money deposit along with their

tenders, scanned copy of Demand Draft towards earnest

money deposit in favour of “The Superintendent of

Police (Head Quarters), Puducherry”, from any

Nationalized Bank for those items indicated which they

intend to bid. The earnest money deposit of the

unsuccessful tenderers will be refunded immediately

after the tender sale is over.

5. The intending tenderers may inspect the articles

during office hours on any working day with the

permission of the undersigned.

6. The successful tenderer should pay the amount

immediately and take delivery of the articles within

24 hours. No claims on the quality and quantity of the

articles will be admitted once the tender is finalized.

7. The tenderer should submit the following self

attested photocopy of the documents along with their

tenders,

(a) Valid GST Certificate

(b) PAN Card

by the State/Union Territory.

8. Tenders without the above certificates/documents

will be rejected.

9. In case of any dispute, the decision of the

undersigned will be the final and binding.

10. The undersigned reserves the right to accept or

reject any or all the tenders without assigning any

reasons thereof.

11. The quotation should reach this office before the

due date mentioned below.

12. The Police Department, Puducherry, is not

responsible for the delay in transit if, the quotations

are sent by post. The tenders received late, i.e., after

the date and time prescribed, shall not be accepted. In

case of unforeseen circumstances, the date of opening

of tender will be next working day or as notified

separately.

13. The last date and time of receipt of quotations

is prescribed on 23-09-2021 up to 10.00 hours. The

tenders will be opened on the same day at 11.00 hours.
