NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 21, read with section 32 of the Code of Criminal Procedure,
1973 (Central Act 2 of 1974), the Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry, hereby appoints the officers mentioned under
column (2) of the Table in the Annexure as "Special Executive Magistrates" with effect from the date of enforcement
of Model Code of Conduct and up to the date of completion of election process in connection with the Civic
Elections, 2021 to Karaikal Municipality and all Commune Panchayats of Karaikal District, in respect of the area
specified under column (3) of the said Table and empowers them to exercise all the powers of the Executive Magistrate
under the said Code.
