NOTIFICATION

Consequent to the rescinding of the G.O. Ms. No. 48/LAS/2019, Puducherry,

dated 7th March, 2019 of the Local Administration Secretariat, Government of

Puducherry, regarding reservation of seats to be filled by the direct election in the

Commune Panchayat and the Village Panchayat Councils in favour of the Backward

Class of citizens and the Scheduled Tribes vide G.O. Ms. No. 52/LAS/2021,

Puducherry, dated 6th October, 2021 the provisions in respect of the Backward

Classes and the Scheduled Tribes in Annexures IV, V, VI and VII in the Delimitation

of the Commune Panchayat Wards and the Village Panchayat Wards published vide

G.O. Ms. No. 50/LAS/2019, Puducherry, dated 7th March, 2019 and subsequent

amendment to Annexure-V notified vide G.O. Ms. No. 41/LAS/2021, Puducherry,

dated 22nd September, 2021 stands repealed to the extent of removing the portions

for the Backward Classes and the Scheduled Tribes provided therein including

the NB part mentioned thereunder.
