NOTIFICATION

The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) under the Department

of Pharmaceuticals, Government of India, mandated with the responsibility of

implementation of the Drugs (Prices Control) Order, 2013 (DPCO, 2013) is in the

process of establishing ‘Price Monitoring and Resource Unit (PMRU)’ under the

respective jurisdiction of State as per the objectives laid down in the Central Sector

Scheme of NPPA, Consumer Awareness, Publicity and Price Monitoring.

2. The next step in this direction would be to register the PMRU as a

Society as ‘The Puducherry Pharmaceuticals Price Monitoring and Resource Unit

(PMRU) Society’ under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, for which Governing

Body and Executive Committee have to be constituted to execute Memorandum of

Association and Rules & Regulations.
