PUBLIC NOTICE

Whereas, vide G.O. Ms. No. 4/2019-Hg., dated 28th May 2019 of the

Chief Secretariat (Housing), Government of Puducherry, sanction has been accorded

for the work of preparation of GIS based Comprehensive Development Plan for the

Mahe Planning Area.

And whereas, an Existing Land Use Map and Register 2021 for the entire

Mahe Planning Area to an extent of 9.00 sq.km. have been prepared by the Mahe

Planning Authority, Mahe.

And whereas, a Notice calling objections from the public was issued vide

No. 806/MPA/CDP/2021/382, dated 18-06-2021 of the Mahe Planning Authority,

which has also been published in the Gazette of Puducherry, Extraordinary Part-I,

No. 123, dated 21-06-2021 and also in the Local Newspapers viz., Rashtra Deepika,

dated 19th June 2021, Janma Boomi, dated 19th June 2021, Kerala Kowmuki, dated

19th June 2021, The Indian Express, dated 19th June 2021 and The Hindu, dated

20th June 2021 in accordance with provisions of section 18 (1) of the Puducherry

Town and Country Planning Act,1969, read with rule 41 of the Puducherry Town

and Country Planning Rules, 1974. Whereas, a copy of the said existing Land Use

Map and Register 2021 was available for inspection by the public during office

hours in the Office of the Mahe Planning Authority, Mahe and also was available

in the official website: - https://tcpd.py.gov.in/. And whereas, objections received

from the public have been heard by the Senior Town Planner on 21-09-2021 and

based on the report/suggestions of the Chief Town Planner, the existing Land Use

Map and Register 2021 has since been modified.

Now, therefore, a Public Notice is hereby given pursuant to sub-section (5)

of section 18, of the Puducherry Town and Country Planning Act, 1969 that the

existing Land Use Map and Register, 2021 for the Mahe Planning Area have been

duly prepared and adopted by the Mahe Planning Authority from the date of

publication of this notice in the Official Gazette of Government of Puducherry. The

adopted existing Land Use Map and Register 2021 are available for inspection

during office hours in the Office of the Mahe Planning Authority, Mahe. (Also refer

in the official website: - https://tcpd.py.gov.in/).
