NOTIFICATION

Whereas, an Award in I.D (L) No. 28/2020, dated

14-09-2021 of the Industrial Tribunal-cum-Labour Court,

Puducherry in respect of the industrial dispute between

the management of M/s. Fine Automotive and Industrial

Radiators Pvt. Ltd, Sedarapet, Puducherry and

Thiru R. Patchamuthu, Villupuram District, over

non-employment has been received;

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred

by sub-section (1) of section 17 of the Industrial

Disputes Act, 1947 (Central Act XIV of 1947), read with

the notification issued in Labour Department’s G.O. Ms.

No. 20/91/Lab./L, dated 23-05-1991, it is hereby directed

by the Secretary to Government (Labour) that the said

Award shall be published in the Official Gazette,

Puducherry.

AWARD

This Industrial Dispute arises out of the reference

made by the Government of Puducherr vide G.O. Rt. No.

123/AIL/Lab./T/2020, dated 12-11-2020 of the Labour

Department, Puducherry to resolve the following

dispute between the petitioner and the respondent, viz.,-

(i) Whether the dispute raised by petitioner

Thiru Patcharmuthu, Villupuram District, against the

management of M/s. Fine Automotive and Industrial

Radiators Pvt. Ltd., Sedrapet, Puducherry, over

non-employment is justified or not? If justified, what

relief the petitioner is entitled to?

(ii) To compute the relief, if any, awarded in terms

of money if, it can be so computed?

2. Today, when the case came up for hearing, memo

filed by the Counsel for the petitioner. Notice given to

respondent. Memo recorded. In view of the

circumstances stated in the memo, I.D (L) No. 28/2020

is closed in the interest of justice.

GOVERNMENT OF PUDUCHERRY

CHIEF SECRETARIAT (ENVIRONMENT)

NOTIFICATION

Single Use Plastics (SUP) also referred to as disposal

plastics (use-and-throw items), include plastic carry bags,

cups, plates, food packaging, straw and cutlery. After

usage, these SUP are commonly thrown away in water

bodies, drains and common land, and end up reaching the

sea. It causes havoc environment, plant and animals and

health hazard to human beings.

The Government of Puducherry, has imposed ban on

these SUP with effect from 02nd August, 2019. Hon’ble

Chief Minister of Puducherry, has announced in the

Budget Session of 2021 that Bahour Commune would be

declared as SUP Free Commune with effect from

02nd October 2021.

The Department of Science, Technology and

Environment, and the Puducherry Pollution Control

Committee have initiated various measures to eliminate

SUP and facilitated availability of alternatives to SUP in

Bahour Commune Panchayat, Puducherry.

Now, therefore, the Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry,

hereby declares Bahour Commune as a model Single Use

Plastics Free Commune with effect from 02nd October, 2021.

the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, read with sub-rule (3) of

rule 9 of the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989, the

Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry, hereby recognizes the

certificate issued by the Logistics Sector Skill Council

(LSC) after imparting training to the Drivers as per the

content approved by the National Council of Vocational

Education and Training (NCVET), for endorsement in

the Driving Licence to drive a goods carriage vehicle,

carrying goods of dangerous or hazardous nature to

human life.
