NOTIFICATION

The Hon’ble Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry, is pleased to

enhance the Financial Assistance to Indigent Tamil Scholars from ` 1,650

to ` 2,150, ` 2,200 to ` 2,700 and ` 3,250 to ` 3,750 according to their

age in the Scheme of Financial Assistance to Indigent Tamil Scholars

in the Union territory of Puducherry (hereinafter referred to as the

said Scheme) notified in G.O. Ms. No. 47, dated 24-09-1997 of the

Chief Secretariat (Education), Puducherry, and published in the Gazette

of Puducherry vide Extraordinary Part-I, No. 119, dated 28-10-1997, is

amended as under:

AMENDMENT

In the said Scheme, in clause 3, under the heading “Amount”,

for the words and letters thereof, the following shall be substituted:-

“The Indigent Tamil Scholars aged up to 59 shall be paid ` 2,150

(Rupees two thousand one hundred and fifty only) per month”,

the Indigent Tamil Scholars aged between 60 and 79 years shall be paid

` 2,700 (Rupees two thousand and seven hundred only) per month and

the Indigent Tamil Scholars aged 80 years and above shall be paid

` 3,750 (Rupees three thousand seven hundred and fifty only) per

month”.

2. The Amendment above shall come into force with effect from

the date of issue of this order.

3. This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Department

vide their I.D. Note No. 4113/FC/FD/F4/A4/2021-22, dated l5-12-2021.
