NOTIFICATION
Whereas, Dr. B. Raju, General Duty Medical Officer,
appointed in Government General Hospital, Yanam with
effect from 28-12-2015, had applied for EOL for 3 years
from 02-07-2018 to 01/07/2021 to pursue the P.G. Course
of M.D. (Psychiatry) in SV Medical College, Tirupathi,
Andhra Pradesh. As per the rule-32 (2) (e) of Central
Civil Service (Leave) Rules, 1972, a Government Servant
who has completed 3 years of service alone, is eligible
to avail EOL for study purpose. As Dr. B. Raju had
completed only 2 ½ years of service at that time, his
request for EOL for study purpose was turned down.
However, he proceeded to join the course without
sanction of leave and thereby he remains unauthorized
absent from service willfully with effect from 02-07-2018;
2. And whereas, while so, Dr. B. Raju has now,
tendered the letter of resignation, dated 05-10-2021,
adducing personal reasons therefor;
3. And whereas, on consideration thereof, the
Hon’ble Lieutenant-Governor, Appointing Authority for
Group-‘A’ Officers, has accepted the letter of resignation
of Dr. B. Raju;
4. Now, therefore, Dr. B. Raju, General Duty Medical
Officer, stands relived from the Government of
Puducherry, with immediate effect. Further, his entire
past service stands forfeited in terms of the sub-rule (1)
of rule- 26 of Central Civil Service (Pension) Rules, 1972.
