2. Those who are intending to participate in the

auction should deposit a sum of ` 1,000 (Rupees one

thousand only) in cash as earnest money deposit to this

office. The earnest money deposit of the unsuccessful

bidder will be refunded immediately after the auction

sale is over.

3. The public auction will be intiated with the

minimum bid value fixed by the Government.

4. The successful bidder is liable to pay for the

damage/loss to the property/building installations in the

School compound.

5. The intending participants can inspect the items

during office hours on any working day with the prior

permission of the undersigned.

6. No claim on the quality/quantity of coconuts will

be admitted once the auction sale is over. In case of

any dispute, the decision of the undersigned will be the

final.

7. The undersigned reserves the right to postpone

or cancel the auction without assigning any reason

TENDER-CUM-AUCTION NOTICE

Sealed tenders offering the rate per kilogram are invited

from the local tenderers for sale of the following old items

belonging to the Office of the Superintending Engineer,

Buildings and Roads, Circle-I, Public Works Department,

Puducherry.

2. The sealed tenders should be addressed to the

Engineer Assistant, Buildings and Roads, Circle-I, Public

Works Department, Puducherry, duly superscribing on

the envelope as “Tender for the purchase of old

newspapers” and to reach the undersigned on or before

22-04-2022 at 12.00 noon. The tenders will be opened at

4.00 p.m. on the same day, in the presence of the tenderers,

in the office of the undersigned at the Office of the

Superintending Engineer-I, Puducherry.

3. If necessary, the public auction will be conducted

among the tenderers based on the highest quotings on

the sealed tenders to fix the highest rate.

4. The intending tenderers/bidders should deposit an

amount of ` 300 (Rupees three hundred only) as earnest

money deposit. Tenderers/bidders should have a copy

of any valid I.D. and address proof along with GST

Particulars.

5. The earnest money deposit of the unsuccessful

tenderers/bidders will be refunded immediately soon after

the tenders auction sale is over. Tenderers/bidders should

produce valid I.D. proof for returning their earnest money

deposit amount.

6. Tender(s) received after the due date and time will

be rejected.

7. The undersigned reserves the right to accept or

reject any tender without assigning any reasons thereof.

8. The successful tenderer/bidder should pay the full

amount immediately as and when call made and clear the

old items within 24 hours at his/her own risk and cost,

failing which the earnest money deposit will be forfeited.

9. No claim on the quantity and quality of the articles

will be admitted once the tender/auction sale is finalized.

10. The intending tenderers/bidders can inspect the

articles during office hours in the office of the

Superintending Engineer-I, Public Works Department,

Puducherry.

11. In case of any dispute, the decision of the

undersigned will be the final.

12. The rate for each item should be quoted separately.

13. The rates finanlised/ approved shall be valid for a

period of one year from the date of acceptance/

communication of the rates so approved.

14. GST will be collected on the sale of old newspapers,

as per the rates prevailing at the time of disposal/sale.

Tenderers/bidders with registered Goods and Service Tax

(GST) in Puducherry region only must participate in the

tender/auction sale.
