2. The tenure of the above Committees shall be three

years from the date of issue of this order.

3. The Member-Secretary of the respective

Committee shall make necessary arrangement for

convening the meeting as and when necessary, with the

approval of the Chairperson of the Committees.

4. The Committees shall suggest plans for the

development of the Schemes.

5. Notwithstanding anything contained in this order,

the Government shall have powers to issue instructions

from time to time regarding the functioning of the

Committees and shall have the right to modify this order

as and when necessary.

NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (b) of

sub-section (3) of section 42 of the Consumer

Protection Act, 2019 (Central Act 35 of 2019), read with

sub-rule (1) of rule 6 of the Consumer Protection

(Qualification for appointment, method of recruitment,

procedure of appointment, term of office, resignation

and removal of the President and Members of the State

Commission and District Commission) Rules, 2020

notified by Government of India vide G.S.R.452(E), dated

15th July, 2020, the Hon’ble Lieutenant-Governor of

Puducherry is pleased to appoint Tmt. S. Oumasanguery,

w/o. V. V. Steephen, No. 29, Fourth Cross Street,

Rainbow Nagar, Puducherry-605 011, as the Member

(Non-Judicial) of the State Consumer Disputes

Redressal Commission, Puducherry.

2. The appointment shall be for a period of 4 years

from the date of assumption of charge or up to the age

of 65 years, whichever is earlier.

3. The appointment shall be subject to submission

of a Certificate of Physical Fitness as indicated in the

Annexure appended to the Consumer Protection

(Qualification for appointment, method of recruitment,

procedure of appointment, term of office, resignation

and removal of the President and Members of the State

Commission and District Commission) Rules, 2020.

4. The salary, allowances and conditions of service

of the above appointment shall be governed by the

Puducherry Consumer Protection (salary, allowances

and conditions of service of President and Members

of the State Commission and District Commission)

Rules, 2021.

The Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry, is pleased to

declare special local holiday on 8th June, 2022

(Wednesday) and 9th June, 2022 (Thursday) as

Restricted Holiday to the Government/Non-Government

Offices/Educational Institutions in the Karaikal region

on account of celebration of Quinquennial Festival of

Arulmigu Airangkali Amman Temple, T.R. Pattinam and

in-lieu thereof, 11th June, 2022 (Saturday) will be a

compensatory working day.

2. This leave is not covered under Negotiable

Instruments Act, 1881.

The Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry, is pleased to

order the following reallocation of subjects among

I.A.S. Officers with immediate effect:

(i) Shri Prashant Goyal, I.A.S., (AGMUT:1993) shall,

in addition to the charges already held by him, hold

charge of the subject ‘Information Technology’

relieving Shri A. Nedunchezhiyan, I.A.S., of this

charge.

(ii) Smt. Padma Jaiswal, I.A.S., (AGMUT:2003)

shall, in addition to the charges already held by her,

hold of the subjects ‘Sainik Welfare and Freedom

Fighters Cell’ relieving Shri S.D. Sundaresan, I.A.S.,

of these charges.

(iii) Shri P. Jawahar, I.A.S., (AGMUT:2007) on

having reported for duty in this Administration on

02-05-2022 vide Order No. 14020/02/2020,UTS-I,

dated 20-04-2022 of the Ministry of Home Affairs,

New Delhi, is appointed as Secretary to Government

and allotted the subjects ‘Education, Port,

Transport and, Industries and Commerce’ (relieving

Dr. T. Arun I.A.S., of this charge).

(iv) Shri A.S.P.S Ravi Prakash, I.A.S., (AGMUT:2011)

shall, in addition to the charges already held by him

(other than Rural Development), hold charge of the

subject ‘Forest’ relieving Smt. R. Smitha, I.A.S., of

this charge.

(v) Shri E. Vallavan, I.A.S., (AGMUT:2011) shall, in

addition to the charges already held by him, hold

charge of the subject ‘Relief-cum-Rehabilitation’.

(vi) Shri Krishna Kumar Singh, I.A.S., (AGMUT:

2012) shall, hold charge of the subjects ‘ Hindu

Religious Institutions and Wakf, and Minority

Affairs’ as Secretary to Government. He shall

continue to hold charge of Special Resident

Commissioner, Puducherry Government Guest House,

New Delhi.

(vii) Shri A. Nedunchezhiyan, I.A.S., (AGMUT:2012)

shall, in addition to the charges already held by

him (other than Information Technology), hold

charge of the subjects ‘Rural Development (relieving

Shri A.S.P.S. Ravi Prakash I.A.S., of this charge) and

Cooperation’. He is also be appointed as Chairman,

DRDA.

(viii) Shri R. Kesavan, I.A.S., (AGMUT:2013) on

having reported for duty in this Administration on

05-05-2022 vide Order No. 14020/02/2020,UTS-I, dated

20-04-2022 of the Ministry of Home Affairs,

New Delhi, is appointed as Secretary to Government

and allotted the subjects ‘Adi Dravidar Welfare,

Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare, Town and

Country Planning, Housing, Personnel, Vigilance,

General Administration, Special Secretary (AR Wing)

and Special Secretary (Home)’.

(ix) Dr. T. Arun, I.A.S., (AGMUT:2013) shall, in

addition to the charges already held by him (other

than Industries and Commerce), hold charge of the

subjects ‘Power, Public Works and Tourism’. He is

also appointed as Chief Executive Officer, Puducherry

Smart City Development Limited.

(x) Ms. Rishita Gupta, I.A.S., (AGMUT:2019) shall,

in addition to the charges already held by her is

appointed as Project Director, DRDA.
