NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-clause (i) of clause (a) and
clause (b) of section 66 of the Puducherry Excise Act, 1970 (No. 12 of 1970), the
Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry, hereby exempts the Canteen Stores Department
(CSD) Canteen(s) functioning in the Union territory of Puducherry from payment
of the additional excise duty for a period of five years from the 23rd day of
April, 2022 for the import of not exceeding 7,000 cases of IMFL and 500 cases of
Beer per annum from their own depot for serving to the defense personnel and
ex-servicemen as per the following:
