Meeting of the Board of Governors held on 25-07-2022 at

3.00 p.m. in the Conference Hall, First Floor, Mahatma

Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Dental Sciences,

Puducherry. [vide item No. 5(i)] , approval of the Board of

Governors is hereby accorded for the appointment of

Dr. S.P.K. Kennedy Babu, Professor and Head, Department

of Periodontics as Dean, Mahatma Gandhi Postgraduate

Institute of Dental Sciences, Puducherry, on regular basis

with retrospective effect from 04-09-2020.

2. He will continue to draw the same Pay in the Scale

of Pay in Level 14 (7th CPC) and usual allowances as

admissible under the Rules in force from time to time

including Special Allowance of ` 3,000 per month.

3. He will continue to officiate in the same post of Dean,

Mahatma Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Dental Sciences,

till he is attaining the age of superannuation of 65 years.

4. He will be the Head of the Institution till he is holding

the post of Dean in the Mahatma Gandhi Postgraduate

Institute of Dental Sciences, Puducherry.

5. This supersedes the earlier orders in point Nos. (1)

and (2) issued and cited in the above 1st paragraph.

Puducherry, have applied for grant of exemption from

certain provisions of the Puducherry Shops and

Establishments Act, 1964, to conduct special morning

shows on account of screening new films;

Whereas, the Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry, has

by Notification in G.O. Ms. No. 9/95/Lab., dated

07-04-1995 under sub-section (1) of section 52 of the

Puducherry Shops and Establishments Act, 1964,

authorized the Secretary to Government, Labour

Department, Puducherry, to exercise the powers of the

Government under section 6 of the said Act, relating to

exemption;

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred

by section 6 of the said Act, the Secretary to

Government, Labour Department, Puducherry, hereby

exempts M/s. Ashok Theatre, Villianur, Puducherry and

M/s. JR Cinemas, Puducherry, from the provisions of

the sections 16(1), 17(1), 17(2) and 18 of the Puducherry

Shops and Establishments Act, 1964, for conducting

Whereas, the Government is of the opinion that an

industrial dispute has arisen between the management of

M/s. Lanson Motors Private Limited, Puducherry and

Thiru P. Kalaiselvan, over reinstatement with back

wages in respect of the matter mentioned in the

Annexure to this order;

And whereas, in the opinion of the Government, it

is necessary to refer the said dispute for adjudication;

Now, therefore, by virtue of the authority delegated

vide G.O. Ms. No. 20/91/Lab./L, dated 23-5-1991 of the

Labour Department, Puducherry, to exercise the powers

conferred by clause (c) of sub-section (1) of section 10

of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 (Central Act XIV

of 1947), it is hereby directed by Secretary to

Government (Labour) that the said dispute be referred

to the Labour Court, Puducherry, for adjudication. The

Labour Court, Puducherry, shall submit the Award

within 3 months from the date of issue of reference as

stipulated under sub-section (2-A) of section 10 of the

Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 and in accordance with

rule 10-B of the Industrial Disputes (Central) Rules,

1957. The party raising the dispute shall file a statement

of claim complete with relevant documents, list of

reliance and witnesses to the Industrial Tribunal,

Puducherry, within 15 days of the receipt of the order

of reference and also forward a copy of such statement

to each one of the opposite parties involved in the

dispute.

ANNEXURE

(i) Whether the dispute raised by the

petitioner Thiru P. Kalaiselvan against the management

of M/s. Lanson Motors Private Limited, Puducherry,

over reinstatement with back wages is justified or

not? If justified, what relief he is entitled to?

(ii) To compute the relief if any, awarded in terms

of money if, it can be so computed?

NOTIFICATION

In pursuance of the provisions contained in

sub-section (2) of section 3 of the Puducherry

Prevention of Anti-social Activities Act, 2008 (Act

No. 10 of 2010), the Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry

having been satisfied that the circumstances prevailing

in the Union territory of Puducherry are likely to create

a tense law and order situation and it is necessary so

to do hereby directs the District Magistrate, Puducherry

and Karaikal, shall also exercise the powers conferred

by sub-section (1) of section 3 of the said Act in respect

of their jurisdiction for a further period of six months

from 14-09-2022.

“e-Tenders” are invited on behalf of the President of

India by the Director, Directorate of Stationery and

Printing, Puducherry, for centralized purchase of Paper

and Board items for the year 2022-23 for use in the

Directorate of Stationery and Printing, Puducherry.

1. The tenderers for supply of Paper and Board items

shall hold valid GST Registration Certificate.

2. Tenderers should submit their tender online at

the Government website http://pudutenders.gov.in

earnest money deposit for an amount of ` 2,00,000

(Rupees two lakhs only) is to be paid through Internet

Banking or NEFT/RTGS mode only. The facility for the

same is available in the tender portal itself. No other

form of remittance shall be accepted.
