ORDER

Whereas, an order was made, vide reference cited,

under sub-section (1) of section 126 of the Puducherry

Co-operative Societies Act, 1972, directing the winding

up of the affairs of the Villianur Weavers Co-operative

Society Limited, No. P-324.

And whereas, the financing Bank viz., the Pondicherry

State Co-operative Bank Limited was consulted in the

matter of appointment of a Liquidator, as required under

section 127 of the said Act;

And whereas, the Pondicherry State Co-operative

Bank Limited has stated that it has no objection for the

appointment of a Liquidator for the said Society;

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred

on me under sub-section (1) of section 127 of the

Puducherry Co-operative Societies Act, 1972, I hereby

appoint Thiru K. Dhanabal, Co-operative Officer, as the

Liquidator for the purpose of winding up of the said

Society;

Thiru K. Dhanabal, Co-operative Officer/Liquidator,

shall take into custody all the properties, effects and

an actionable claim to which the said Society is of

appears to be entitled and complete the liquidation

proceedings as per law.

NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred under

sub-sections (1) and (2) of section 7 of the Right to Fair

Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition,

Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013, the

Government of Puducherry hereby constitutes an

Independent multi-disciplinary “Expert Group” with the

following Members to evaluate the Social Impact

Assessment (SIA) report submitted by the Social

Impact Assessment Team in connection with acquisition

of lands at Thirunallar Revenue Village, Karaikal District,

for the public purpose viz., “Construction of Railway

Station with yard arrangements at Thirunallar under the

New Broad Guage line between Peralam-Karaikal”. The

Expert Group shall make its recommendations within a

period of two months from the date of its constitution:–

NOTIFICATION

Whereas, the Government is of the opinion that an

industrial dispute has arisen between the management

of M/s. Gencor Pacific Auto Engineering Private Limited,

Puducherry and the petitioner Thiru V. Ravindar, over his

non-employment with all attendant benefits in respect

of the matter mentioned in the Annexure to this order;

And whereas, in the opinion of the Government, it is

necessary to refer the said dispute for adjudication;

Now, therefore, by virtue of the authority delegated

vide G.O. Ms. No. 20/91/Lab/L, dated 23-5-1991 of the

Labour Department, Puducherry, to exercise the powers

conferred by clause (c) of sub-section (1) of section 10

of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 (Central Act XIV

of 1947), it is hereby directed by Secretary to

Government (Labour) that the said dispute be referred

to the Labour Court, Puducherry, for adjudication. The

Labour Court, Puducherry, shall submit the Award within

3 months from the date of issue of reference as stipulated

under sub-section 2-A of section 10 of the Industrial

Disputes Act, 1947 and in accordance with rule 10-B of

the Industrial Disputes (Central) Rules, 1957. The party

raising the dispute shall file a statement of claim

complete with relevant documents, list of reliance and

witnesses to the Labour Court, Puducherry, within 15

days of the receipt of the order of reference and also

forward a copy of such statement to each one of the

opposite parties involved in the dispute.

Whereas, the managements of M/s. JR Cinemas,

Puducherry and M/s. Rathnaa Talkees, Puducherry,

have applied for grant of exemption from certain

provisions of the Puducherry Shops and Establishments

Act, 1964, to conduct special morning shows on account

of screening new films;

And whereas, the Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry,

has by Notification in G.O. Ms. No. 9/95/Lab., dated

07-04-1995 under sub-section (1) of section 52 of the

Puducherry Shops and Establishments Act, 1964,

authorized the Secretary to Government, Labour

Department, Puducherry, to exercise the powers of the

Government under section 6 of the said Act, relating to

exemption;

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred

by section 6 of the said Act, the Secretary to

Government, Labour Department, Puducherry, hereby

exempts M/s. JR Cinemas, Puducherry and M/s. Rathnaa

Talkees, Puducherry, from the provisions of the

sections 16(1), 17(1), 17(2) and 18 of the Pondicherry

Shops and Establishments Act, 1964, for conducting

special morning free shows as per Table below:

The conduct of the special shows shall be subject

to the following conditions:

1. Every person employed shall be paid overtime

wages for the period of work done by him in excess

of 8 hours in a week.

2. The persons employed shall be given rest

interval of atleast half-an-hour for every four hours

of work.

3. The management should obtain permission

from the authorities concerned wherever necessary.

4. In case, the said screening of the new film does

not take place, this notification shall have no effect.

5. The SOPs issued in respect of COVID-19 like

wearing of mask and other conditions issued by the

Department of Revenue and Disaster Management,

Puducherry, shall be strictly adhered to.
