NOTIFICATION

The Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry, is pleased to enhance the

financial assistance towards the marriage of the Daughters of Destitute

Widow’s and for the said purpose hereby makes further Amendments

to the “Grant of Marriage Allowance towards the marriage of Daughters

of Destitute Widows Rules, 1981” notified in G.O. Ms. No. 73/81-

HEW(SW) of the Health, Electricity and Works Department, Puducherry,

dated 6th April, 1981 and published in the Extraordinary Gazette No. 19,

dated 12th May, 1981 (hereinafter referred to as the said rules) and further

the Amendment to the G.O. Ms. No. 12/2015-WCD(SW-IV), dated

17-08-2015, published in the Gazette of Puducherry, Extraordinary Part-II,

No. 65, dated 20-08-2015, namely:-

AMENDMENT

1. Short title and commencement.— (i) These rules may be called

“Grant of Marriage Allowance towards the marriage of Daughters of

Destitute Widows (Amendment) Rules, 2022”.

(ii) It shall come into force from the date of its notification in

the Official Gazette.

2. In the said rules, in rule 5, for the words and figures “` 25,000

(Rupees twenty-five thousand only)” the words and figures “` 30,000

(Rupees thirty thousand only)” shall be substituted.

3. This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Department

vide their I.D. No. 20819/FC/FD/F5/A2/2022, dated 30-11-2022.
