ORDER

Whereas, the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MoMSME) launched the Scheme Zero Effect

and Zero Defect (ZED) and main objective of this flagship Scheme was to increase productivity, optimize usage of

natural resources and focus upon quality upgradation with a view to improving MSME’s domestic and global

competitiveness;

2. Whereas, the MSMEs shall be provided the financial assistance/subsidy for obtaining the ZED

Certifications by MoMSME at the rate of 80%, 60% and 50% for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises respectively,

with different levels of certifications, viz., Bronze, Silver and Gold with the cost of ` 10,000, ` 40,000 and ` 90,000

respectively. At par with the Central assistance, State/Union Territory Governments also demanded to incentivize to

encourage the ZED Certification and to make it free of cost to the MSMEs;

3. Whereas, this Union territory of Puducherry also provides various incentives/subsidies to the industrial

units under the Scheme “Motivation of Entrepreneurs to Start Industries and Fiscal Assistance to Industries” and

the following amendment is proposed to make the cost of the certification to Zero to the MSMEs;
