NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-clause (i) of clause (a) of

section 66 of the Puducherry Excise Act, 1970 (Act No. 12 of 1970), the

Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry, hereby exempts the Unit Run Canteen,

NCC Group Headquarters, Lawspet, Puducherry and Unit Run Canteen, Indian

Coast Guard Station, Karaikal, from payment of Special Excise Duty for the liquor

sold by the said canteens to the defence personnel and ex-servicemen in the

Union territory of Puducherry, with immediate effect.
