ORDER

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 6 of the Legal Services

Authorities Act, 1987 (Central Act 39 of 1987), read with rule 4 of the Union Territory

of Puducherry Legal Services Authority Rules, 1998 and on the recommendation of

the Hon’ble High Court of Judicature at Madras, the Lieutenant-Governor,

Puducherry, is pleased to nominate Hon’ble Mr. Justice R. Mahadevan, a Senior

Judge of the High Court of Judicature at Madras as the Executive Chairman of the

Union territory of Puducherry Legal Services Authority, Puducherry, with effect from

the date of assumption of office, i.e., on 29-05-2023, vice Hon’ble Mr. Justice

S. Vaidyanathan, a Senior Judge of the Hon’ble High Court of Judicature at Madras.
