GOVERNMENT OF PUDUCHERRY

DIRECTORATE OF ART AND CULTURE

(G.O. Ms. No. 2, Puducherry, dated 22nd May 2023)

NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution of India, read with the

Notification No. F.5/4/65-GP, dated 11th January, 1965 of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India,

New Delhi and in partial modification of the Directorate of Art and Culture Notification issued in G.O. Ms. No. 16,

dated 21st August, 2014 and published as a Supplement to the Gazette No. 37 of the 16th September, 2014, the

Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry, hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Group 'C' post of Artist in

the Directorate of Art and Culture, Government of Puducherry, namely:-

1. Short title and commencement.— (i) These rules may be called the Government of Puducherry, Directorate

of Art and Culture, Group 'C' post of Artist Recruitment (Amendment) Rules, 2023.

(ii) They shall come into force on and from the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

2. Amendment of the Schedule.— In the Government of Puducherry, Directorate of Art and Culture,

Group 'C' post of Artist Recruitment Rules, 2014, (hereinafter referred to as the said rules), in the Schedule annexed

thereto,-

(1) in Column (4),-

(i) for the column heading, the column heading "Level in the Pay Matrix" shall be substituted; and

(ii) for the entries relating thereto,- the entries "Level-4 in the Pay Matrix" shall be substituted.

(2) In Column (11), for the existing entries against (a)(ii) therein, for the words and figures "in Pay Band-1

` 5,200-20,200 with Grade Pay of ` 1,900", the words and figure "in Level 2 in the Pay Matrix" shall be substituted.

(3) The Note (2) under Column 11 shall be deleted.

Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry, hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Group 'C' post of Gallery

Assistant in the Directorate of Art and Culture, Government of Puducherry, namely:-

1. Short title and commencement.— (i) These rules may be called the Government of Puducherry, Directorate

of Art and Culture, Group 'C' post of Gallery Assistant Recruitment (Amendment) Rules, 2023.

(ii) They shall come into force on and from the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

2. Amendment of the Schedule.— In the Government of Puducherry, Directorate of Art and Culture,

Group 'C' post of Gallery Assistant Recruitment Rules, 2014, (hereinafter referred to as the said rules), in the Schedule

annexed thereto,-

(1) in Column (4),-

(i) for the column heading, the column heading "Level in the Pay Matrix" shall be substituted.

(ii) for the entries relating thereto,- the entries "Level-1 in the Pay Matrix" shall be substituted.
