NOTIFICATION

The Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry, is pleased to make the

following Amendment in the “Grant of Monthly Financial Assistance to

Women who are Heads of Families Living Below Poverty Line (BPL)

Rules, 2023” notified vide G.O. Ms. No. 01/2023-WCD(SW-IV), dated 13th

January 2023 of the Women and Child Development Secretariat,

Puducherry and published in the Extraordinary Gazette Part-II, No. 19,

dated 07th February 2023, (hereinafter, referred to as the said rules),

namely:-

AMENDMENT

1. Short title and commencement.— (i) These rules may be called

the “Grant of Monthly Financial Assistance to Women who are Heads

of Families Living Below Poverty Line (BPL) (Amendment) Rules, 2023”.

(ii) They shall extend to the whole of the Union territory of

Puducherry.

(iii) They shall come into force on and from the date of its

publication in the Official Gazette.

II. Amendment of rule 4— In rule 4 of “Grant of Monthly Financial

Assistance to Women who are Heads of Families Living Below Poverty

Line (BPL) Rules, 2023”, the following shall be included as sub-rules (3)

(4), namely:-

sub-rule 3 of rule 4

(3) The eligible beneficiary willing to avail Financial

Assistance under the Scheme shall submit an Application Form which

shall also consist an undertaking that she is not availing any Financial

Assistance under any Government Scheme;

sub-rule 4 of rule 4

(4) Making of application—

(a)

The Application Forms shall be made available by the

Department to the intending applicants free of cost

and also in downloadable Form in the Official Website.

(b)

The application for grant of monthly Financial Assistance

shall be made in the prescribed Form appended to these rules

by the intending applicant.

(c)

The application alongwith requisite documents shall be

submitted to the Director in Puducherry region; The Child

Development Project Officer in Karaikal region and the

Welfare Officer in Mahe and Yanam regions.

(d)

The application shall be accompanied by the following

Certificate;

“Certificate of Identification” which shall be signed by

Member of Legislative Assembly/Member of the Lok Sabha/

Rajya Sabha/Gazetted Officer of the Central Government/

Government of Puducherry.

(e)

The applications received from the eligible applicants shall

be duly acknowledged and assigned receipt number in

seriatim, entering in the receipt register.

UNDERTAKING

correct to the best of my knowledge and belief and I have not

concealed any material information that makes me ineligible to get the

assistance under the Scheme. Further, I declare that I am not in receipt

of any financial assistance from any other Department or Agency of

Government. I hereby, also undertake to refund the entire amount

received by me from the date of sanction, if, it is found on a later date

that I have received the assistance by furnishing false information or

it has been sanctioned on mistaken grounds. Further, I hereby give my

consent for using my Aadhaar Number under the said Scheme.
