NOTIFICATION
In pursuance of para 6(1) of the Revised Operational Guidelines of the “Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana”
(PMFBY), read with the communication under No. 13015/02/2015-Credit-II, dated 24th March 2020 of the Government
of India, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Department of Agriculture, Cooperation and Farmers Welfare,
New Delhi and F.No. 11019/01//2022-Cr-II (FTS-111875), dated 03rd April 2023 of the Chief Executive Officer, PMFBY
Government of India, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, New Delhi, the Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry,
is pleased to notify the Notified Crops and Area in Puducherry, Karaikal and Yanam regions as detailed in the
Annexure as “Defined Areas” for the cropping year 2023-24 to 2025-26. The Unit of Insurance for Paddy, will be at
Revenue Village level in all the three Clusters. For the other crops such as Blackgram, Greengram, Groundnut,
Sugarcane, Banana in Puducherry Cluster and Blackgram (Rice Fallow), Greengram (Rice Fallow), Cotton (Rice Fallow)
in Karaikal Cluster it will be at block level.
