TENDER NOTICE

[(3rd Call) for the Auction of HSD (Diesel) under

Essential Commodities Act, 1955]

The Department of Civil Supplies and Consumer

Affairs, Karaikal, intend to sale about 12,000 litres of

Diesel (HSD) seized under Essential Commodities Act,

1955.

Sealed bid for the auction of about 12,000 litres of

Diesel seized under Essential Commodities Act, 1955,

is invited from Retail outlets/Industries/Establishment

of individuals on behalf of Department of Civil Supplies

and Consumer Affairs, Karaikal.

Terms and Conditions

(a) Sealed bid in the format below to be submitted

to the Deputy Director, Department of Civil Supplies

and Consumer Affairs, Karaikal, in a sealed cover

superscripted with “Bid For Diesel Procurement” on or

before 21-09-2023 at 5.00 p.m.

(b) Bid to be accompanied with a Demand Draft

for ` 20,000 as earnest money deposit. Demand Draft

to be drawn in favour of the Deputy Director,

Department of Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs,

Karaikal.

(c) Earnest money deposit will be returned to the

unsuccessful bidders on the same day.

(d) Successful bidder to arrange for the lifting of the

“Diesel” (HSD) of his/her/their own.

(e) Successful bidder to remit the entire amount for

the quantity of Diesel, VAT/GST, if any, and to lift the

Diesel from the lorry within 2 days.

(f) Earnest money deposit will not be released to the

successful bidder, if, he failed to comply.

(g) Earnest money deposit will be adjusted against

the amount payable for the auction proceeds.

(h) The Deputy Director, Civil Supplies and

Consumer Affairs, Karaikal, resource the right to cancel

the tender and the terms thereunder, without assigning

any reasons thereon.

(i) The minimum upset prize of the Diesel proposed

for auction is fixed at ` 77 per litre excluding VAT and

other duties/taxes.
