DISQUALIFICATION) AMENDMENT ACT, 2023

Further to amend the Puducherry Members of the

Legislative

Assembly

(Prevention

of

Disqualificaton) Act, 1994.

BE it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of

Puducherry in the Seventy-fourth Year of the Republic

of India as follows :—

1. (1) This Act may be called the Puducherry

Members of the Legislative Assembly (Prevention of

Disqualification) Amendment Act, 2023.

(2) It shall come into force at once.

2. In the Puducherry Members of the Legislative

Assembly (Prevention of Disqualification) Act, 1994, in

the Schedule under section 3, in Column A, under the

caption, “Statutory Bodies”, after the existing Serial

No. 10, the following Serial No. 11 shall be inserted,

namely:–

“11. The Union Territory of Puducherry Animal

Welfare Board”
