Cuddalore Taluk – Authorized Auctioneer, dated 17-07-2023.

3. Report of the Deputy Collector (Revenue) North, Puducherry vide Letter No. 4710/DC(R)N/

A7/PB/2023/2858, dated 16-10-2023.

Whereas, an application, dated 17-07-2023 was received from Tmt. Urmila Jain, Pawn Broker, (L.No. 480),

No. 50, Sellaperumalpet, Lawspet, Puducherry, a licensed Pawn Broker requesting permission of the District

Magistrate to sell unredeemed and time barred articles in public auction;

2. And whereas, the list of unredeemed time barred articles submitted by the Pawn Broker was forwarded

to the Deputy Collector (Revenue) North, Puducherry, for causing physical verification of the articles and ascertain

that they remain unredeemed after the time allowed for redemption;

3. And whereas, the Deputy Collector (Revenue) North, Puducherry, has furnished the report vide reference (3)

cited, stating that the Tahsildar, Taluk Office, Oulgaret, had conducted physical verification of the articles that are

unredeemed and time barred pledged with Tmt. Urmila Jain, Pawn Broker, (L.No. 480), No. 50, Sellaperumalpet, Lawspet,

Puducherry and reported that the articles mentioned in the application remained unredeemed past the time allowed

and the articles are kept in the licensed premises itself except the four items vide Catalogue Nos. 19, 43, 81 and

84 of the list, which were redeemed subsequently, after the application of the Pawn Broker cited at reference (1);

4. And whereas, the rule 12 of the Puducherry Pawn Brokers Rules, 1966 prescribes detailed procedure on

auctioning of pledges;

5. Now, therefore, Thiru B. Karthikeyan, Thirupathiripuliyur, Authorised Auctioneer, is permitted to conduct

within 60 days from the date of receipt of this order, the sale of time barred and unredeemed pledged articles, as

shown in the list enclosed and available with the Pawn Broker, Tmt. Urmila Jain, Pawn Broker, (L.No. 480), No. 50,

Sellaperumalpet, Lawspet, Puducherry, in public auction in the licensed premises of the Pawn Broker at the above

address, as per the list approved and sent to the Pawn Broker and the Auctioneer, except the four items vide Catalogue

Nos. 19, 43, 81 and 84 of the list, which were redeemed. The Pawn Broker and Auctioneer shall observe the above

formalities detailed as required under the rules framed under the Puducherry Pawn Brokers Act, 1966, before

conducting the sale of time barred and unredeemed pledged articles in the public auction:

NOTIFICATION

Whereas, The Management, Universal Transport,

Thirunallar Road, Patchur, Karaikal, has deposited a sum

of ` 10,06,171 (Rupees ten lakhs six thousand one

hundred and seventy-one only) under section 8(1) of

the Employees’ Compensation Act, 1923.

2. Whereas, the said amount payable to the

dependents of Thiru A. Anthony, s/o. Annappan, who

met with fatal accident on 27-01-2016 arising out of and

in the course of employment as a Driver while driving

the vehicle owned by M/s. Universal Transport,

Thirunallar Road, Patchur, Karaikal.

3. And whereas, Tmt. A. Vijayalakshmi, w/o. A. Anthony

(late), residing at Pillaiyarkoil Street, Mel Thirunangoor,

Kathiruppu (Post), Sirkazhi (Taluk), Mayiladuthurai

(District), Tamil Nadu, appeared before this Court and

deposed an oath that she is the only dependent at the

time of the death of the employee Thiru A. Anthony.

4. Now, therefore, it is notified for the information

of the public that it is proposed to disburse the said

compensation amount to the aforesaid dependent.

As such whoever claims to be the dependents of the

deceased workmen Thiru A. Anthony at the time of his

death, may claim by an application in this Court within

a period of one month from the date of publication of

this notification in the Official Gazette with all relevant

documents, claim received after the date will not be

considered.

2. The Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry, is further

pleased to order that the creation of 2 posts of System

Analyst and 6 posts of Assistant Programmer as

detailed at para 1 of the Government Order, is subject

to the condition that before filling up of the posts,

Judicial Department, Puducherry, should ensure the

availability of sufficient funds under the relevant head

of account to meet out the expenditure for payment of

Pay and Allowances for the abovesaid posts.

3. Approval of the Department of Justice, Ministry

of Law and Justice, Government of India has been

obtained vide Letter No. L-18020/03/2015-Jus.I/6994,

dated 31-07-2023 of Department of Justice, Ministry of

Law and Justice, Government of India, for the creation

of 2 posts of System Analyst and 6 posts of Assistant

Programmers in the Judicial Department, Union territory

of Puducherry, along with the concurrence of

Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance

(vide I.D.No. 3181679/2023/E.Coord.I, dated 20-07-2023).

4. The expenditure is debitable from the sanctioned

budget under the relevant Head of Account of the

Judicial Department, Puducherry.

5. This issues with the concurrence of the Finance

Department vide their l.D. No. 791/PRO/FD/F3/2023-24,

dated 26-09-2023.

9. In case of any dispute, the decision of the Director

undersigned on or before 14-12-2023 at 10.45 a.m. The

tenders will be opened on the same day at 11.00 a.m.

in the presence of the bidders or their authorized

representatives who are present at the time of opening

of tenders. If, the tender opening day happens to be

a public holiday, the same will be opened on the next

working day.

3. The rate should be quoted separately for

Outdated Text Books and Used Answer Papers.

The rate will be valid for one year from the date of

sanction order.

4. Tenders received after the due date and time will

summarily be rejected. The tenderers who have

submitted their tenders in sealed cover only allowed

to participat in the public auction.

5. The tenderers should deposit an amount of

` 5,000 (Rupees five thousand only) as earnest money

deposit (EMD) in cash to the Cashier, Directorate of

School Education, Puducherry.

ADDENDUM

In continuation to the Notification in G.O. Ms.

No. 18/Envt./2019, Puducherry, dated 30th July, 2019 of

the Chief Secretariat (Environment), Government of

Puducherry, the Ministry of Environment, Forest and

Climate Change, Government of India, in excise of the

powers conferred by sections 6, 8 and 25 of the

Environment (Protection) Act, 1986, (26 of 1986), the

Central Government has further amended the Plastic

Waste Management Rules, 2016, and thereby imposed

ban on few additional Single Use Plastic items vide

Notification in G.S.R. No. 571(E), dated 12th August 2021

of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate

Change, Government of India.

2. Now, therefore, in compliance to the Notification

in G.S.R. No. 571(E), dated 12th August, 2021 of the

Ministry of Environment , Forest and Climate Change,

Government of India, ban is imposed on additional

Single Use Plastic items in this Union territory of

Puducherry with effect from 01-07-2022.

3. In the Notification vide G.O. Ms. No. 49,

Puducherry, dated 08-06-2023,of the Mannadipet

Commune Panchayat in Sl.No. 4(1)(a), after item no (viii),

the following items (ix) to (xiii) shall be inserted.-

(ix) Ear buds with plastic sticks, plastic sticks for

balloons, candy sticks and ice cream sticks;

(x) Polystyrene (Thermocol) for decoration;

(xi) Plates, cups, glasses, cutlery such as forks,

spoons, knives, trays, stirrers, wrapping, or packing

films around sweet boxes, invitation cards and

cigarette packets;

(xii) Plastics or PVC banners less than 100 micron;

(xiii) Non-woven plastic carry bags less than

60 Gram per Square Metre (GSM).

4. All other contents in the said Notifications remain

unaltered.
