TENDER NOTICE

Sealed tenders offering the rate per kilogram are

invited from the local tenderers having valid GSTIN for

the sale of old newspapers and magazines (Tamil and

English), etc., belonging to the Directorate of

Information and Publicity, Puducherry, available at the

Office Complex at No. 18, Belcomb Street, Puducherry

and Press Club at No. 1, Manakula Vinayagar Street,

Puducherry.

2. The rate should be quoted for each item separately

as follows:

3. The tenders in sealed covers superscripted

“Tender for the purchase of old newspapers and

magazines, etc.,” should be addressed to the Director

of Information and Publicity, Puducherry, so as to reach

this office on or before 07-12-2023 at 4.00 p.m. The

tenders will be opened on the same day at 5.00 p.m.

4. Tenders received after the due date and time will

be rejected.

5. The intending tenderers should deposit an earnest

money (EMD) of ` 1,000 (Rupees one thousand only)

in cash before submission of the sealed tenders. The

earnest money deposit of the unsuccessful tenderers

will be refunded after the tenders are opened and

successful tenderer is selected.

6. The intending tenderers may inspect the said

articles during office hours on any working day with

the permission of the undersigned.

7. The undersigned reserves full right either to

accept or reject any or all the tenders without assigning

any reason thereof. Contravention of the rules of tender

notice will result in the forfeiture of the earnest money

deposit.

8. The successful tenderer shall arrange for the

Government weighing machine or authorized by the

Government to weigh the old newspapers and

magazines, pay the cost thereof alongwith the

applicable GST and remove the old newspapers and

magazines within 48 hours from the time of the tender

sale is over during office hours. Any failure to these

arrangements, the earnest money deposit paid will be

forfeited. Also, for the old newspapers and magazines

which have been disposed off after due receipt of

payment, this Department will not undertake any

responsibility for any loss or shortage or damage. On

completion of clearance, the earnest money deposit will

be refunded.

9. In case of any dispute, the decision of the Director

of Information and Publicity, Puducherry, shall be the

final.

“e-Tenders” are invited on behalf of the President of

India by the Director of Stationery and Printing,

Puducherry, for annual contract towards sale/disposal

of waste papers/board cuttings in the Government

Central Press, Puducherry. Tenderers should submit

their tenders online at the Government website

and conditions and schedule of important dates are

also uploaded in the Government websites

for reference purpose. The tenders will be processed

TENDER-CUM-PUBLIC AUCTION NOTICE

Sealed tenders are invited for sale of Outdated Text

Books and Used Answer Papers kept in Government

Schools of Puducherry, Karaikal, Mahe and Yanam

regions in “as-is-where-is condition” on weighment

basis. (Rate per Kg.)

2. The tenders in sealed covers should be

addressed to the Deputy Director of Education

(Elementary), Puducherry, duly superscripted on the

envelope as “Tender/for purchase of Outdated Text

Books and Used Answer Papers” and to reach the

undersigned on or before 14-12-2023 at 10.45 a.m. The

tenders will be opened on the same day at 11.00 a.m.

in the presence of the bidders or their authorized

representatives who are present at the time of opening

of tenders. If, the tender opening day happens to be

a public holiday, the same will be opened on the next

working day.

3. The rate should be quoted separately for

Outdated Text Books and Used Answer Papers.

The rate will be valid for one year from the date of

sanction order.

4. Tenders received after the due date and time will

summarily be rejected. The tenderers who have

submitted their tenders in sealed cover only allowed

to participat in the public auction.

5. The tenderers should deposit an amount of

` 5,000 (Rupees five thousand only) as earnest money

deposit (EMD) in cash to the Cashier, Directorate of

School Education, Puducherry.

6. The earnest money deposit of the unsuccessful

tenderers/bidders will be refunded after the tender/

auction sale is completed/finalized.

7. If, the highest tender amount offered by the

tenderer is found to be not acceptable, the public

auction will be conducted on the spot keeping the

highest tender amount as minimum bid amount.

8. No claim about the quantity, quality and value

of the materials will be admitted once the tender/

auction is finalized.

9. The tenderers should submit the following self

attested copies of the documents along with their

tender, (i) Valid GST Certificate, (ii) PAN Card

and (iii) Aadhaar Card.

10. GST rate in force will be charged extra on the

amount finalized.

11. The undersigned reserves the right either to

accept or reject any tender/bid or all without

assigning any reason thereof. The decision of the

undersigned is final in case of any dispute.
