NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (1) and (4) of section 83
of the Waqf Act, 1995 (Central Act No. 43 of 1995), read with S.O. No. 572(E),
dated 19th August, 1996 of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of
India, New Delhi, the Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry, is pleased to appoint
Thiru A.S. Sivakumar, Transport Commissioner, Puducherry and Tmt. A. Alfiya,
Advocate, Karaikal, as Members of the Waqf Tribunal for Karaikal District, under
the said Act, having jurisdiction over the region of Karaikal of the Union Territory
for the purpose of determining any dispute, question or other matter relating to
a Waqf or Waqf Property under the said Act and for the said purpose hereby makes
the following Amendment to the Notification issued vide No. 4340/US(Waqf)/T.10/
2017, dated 21st April, 2017 and published in Part–I of the Extraordinary Gazette
No. 48, dated 26th April, 2017, namely:—
