Legislature Library Section of Legislative Assembly

Secretariat, Puducherry, on as-is-whereis condition

basis.

2. The tenders in sealed covers should be

superscripted with the words “Tender for the purchase

of old newspapers old Dailies (cutting press clippings)”

and addressed to the Secretary, Legislative Assembly

Secretariat, Puducherry, so as to reach this Secretariat

on or before 05-03-2024 at 4.00 p.m. The tenders will be

opened on 06-03-2024 at 11.00 a.m. in the presence of

tenderers who are present in the Chamber of the

undersigned.

3. The tenderers should deposit an amount of ` 500

(Rupees five hundred only) as earnest money deposit

along with the tenders and the earnest money deposit

will be refunded to the unsuccessful tenderers

immediately after the tender is finalised. The tenderers

should furnish Photostat copy of Identity proof

(Aadhaar) and GST Registration Certificate.

4. The tenders received after the due date and time

will be rejected.

5. The undersigned reserves the right to accept or

reject any tender without assigning any reason

thereof.

6. The rates finalised/approved shall be valid for

a period of one year from the date of acceptance/

communication of the rates so approved.

7. The successful tenderer should pay the full

amount immediately after the finalisation of tender and

clear the old newspapers at his/her own expenses

within 24 hours, failing which earnest money deposit

will be forfeited.

8. No claim on the quantity and quality of the

newspapers will be entertained once the tender is

finalised.

9. In case of any dispute, the decision of the

undersigned will be the final.

10. GST will be collected separately as per rates

prevailing at the time of disposal/sale.

11. The old newspapers may be inspected in the

Library Wing of this Secretariat till 04-03-2024 during

the office hours.
