NOTIFICATION

Approval of the Hon’ble Lieutenant-Governor is hereby accorded for extension of term of the Single Member

Commission for a further period of six months with effect from 17-12-2023 onwards, to recommend appropriate

reservation for Other Backward Classes to conduct of Civic Elections in the Union territory of Puducherry.

2. All the terms and conditions stipulated in the G.O. Ms. No. 67/LAS/2021, dated 17-12-2021 and

G.O. Ms. No. 36/LAS/2023, dated 04-07-2023 of Local Administration Secretariat, Puducherry, will remain the same.

3. The expenditure is debitable to the relevant Head of Account of the Local Administration Department,

Puducherry.

4. This issues with the concurrence of Finance Department vide their I.D.No. 1362/FC/FD/F4/A1/2023-24,

dated 25-01-2024.
