NOTIFICATION

The Puducherry Traders’ Welfare Board was

constituted in the Union territory of Puducherry vide

G.O. Ms. No. 4/CTD/A1/2015, dated 11th January, 2016

of the Commercial Taxes Secretariat, Puducherry. The

Memorandum of Association and the Rules and

Regulations of the Puducherry Traders’ Welfare Board

have also been notified in the said Government Order.

2. As per the G.O. Ms. No. 4/CTD/A1/2015, dated

11th January, 2016 of the Commercial Taxes Secretariat,

Puducherry, the Puducherry Traders’ Welfare Board

shall consist of Official Members and Non-official

Members. The Official Members of the Puducherry

Traders’ Welfare Board have been notified in the said

Government Order, and seven Non-official Members

have to be nominated by the Government from

the Representatives of the Traders’ Association not

exceeding one from each Traders’ Association or

Trading Community, representing the four regions of the

Union territory of Puducherry. As per the Memorandum

of Association of the Board, the General-Body of the

Board shall consist of the Official Members and

Non-official Members.

3. Now, therefore, the Lieutenant-Governor,

Puducherry, is pleased to nominate the following as

Competitive Examination for recruitment to the post of

Upper Division Clerk held on 16-12-2023, year-wise

provisional select list is drawn in the order of merit for

Appointment as Upper Division Clerk as indicated in

the Annexure enclosed.

2. Due to non-availability of eligible candidates for

the vacancy, years up to 2021, vacancies are carried

forward to the subsequent years and so on. Due to

non-availability of eligible candidates under Scheduled

Castes and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities

(Horizontal) category, the reservation points (SC-14 &

PwBD-4) are carried forward to next recruitment year.

3. The selection does not confer any right to the

candidates for promotion to the post of Upper Division

Clerk which is subject to the grant of vigilance

clearance/outcome of pending criminal/disciplinary

proceedings, if any.

4. The necessity to declare the results in respect of

Thiru C. John Britto, Thiru D. Deivanayaga Chettiar,

Thiru M. Ravindran and Tmt. P. Ragini does not arise

since, they have already been promoted as Upper
