ORDER
Approval of the Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry, is
hereby accorded for shifting the Forensic Section
(Toxicology and Chemical Section) from the Public
Health Laboratory, Department of Food and Drugs
Testing, Gorimedu, Puducherry, to Forensic Science
Laboratory, Kirumampakkam, Puducherry, along with
Labwares/Glassware/ Chemicals/Equipment which are
being exclusively used by the Forensic Section at Public
Health Laboratory.
2. Approval is accorded to start functioning of
Chemical Sciences Division in Forensic Science
Laboratory, Puducherry (Toxicology/Narcotics/
Chemistry Units) and to receive case exhibits related to
human and animal viscera for poisoning cases, exhibits
related to NDPS Act drunkenness, explosion residues
etc., referred to them by the Government Hospitals/
Courts concerned in the Union territory of Puducherry
and to examine the case exhibits and dispatch the
findings/result by the Forensic Science Laboratory,
Kirumampakkam, Puducherry, with effect from
01-08-2024.
3. Approval is also hereby accorded to utilize the
services of two Technical Assistants who are handling
the Forensic Section of the Public Health Laboratory,
Department of Food and Drugs Testing, Gorimedu,
Puducherry, for two days in a week in FSL, Kirumampakkam,
Puducherry, for examination of case exhibits till the
recruited persons in FSL., Kirumampakkam, Puducherry, are
competent enough in the examination of case exhibits.

pleased to constitute, ‘Government of Puducherry (GoP)
Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Consultative
Forum’ with the mandate to address the various issues
of concern relating to industry, trade and investment
and to act as a catalyst for promotion of investment
climate, industrial growth, skill and entrepreneurship
development and infrastructure development in the
State through consultation, networking and establishing
linkages between various stakeholders in Government
and industry.
2. The Forum will be comprised of the following

investment in the Union Territory and thereby enhance
the State’s GSDP and accelerate the infrastructure
development in the State.
