TENDER-CUM-AUCTION NOTICE

Sealed tenders are invited from the local bidders for the sale of old records (Driving licence, Conductor

licence/Registration/FC/Tax/Check report and Permits) and obsolete, unserviceable articles etc. belonging to the

Transport Department, Puducherry, as listed in the Annexure, on condition basis, in a single lot.

2. The sealed tenders shall be addressed to the Deputy Transport Commissioner, Transport Department,

Puducherry, duly superscribing on the envelope as “Tender for the purchase of old records and unserviceable

articles” reach the undersigned, on or before 12-02-2025 at 4.00 p.m. The tenders will be opened at 5.00 p.m. on the

same day, in the presence of the tenderers present at the office of the undersigned.

3. If necessary, auction will be conducted among the tenderers to fix the highest rate.

4. The intending tenderers should deposit an amount of 1000 (Rupees one thousand only) as earnest

money deposit (EMD). Tenderers should submit a copy of the Aadhaar as I.D. and address proof along with GST

particulars.

5. The earnest money deposit of the unsuccessful tenderers will be refunded immediately soon after the

tender is over. Tenderers should produce valid I.D. proof for returning their earnest money deposit amount.

6. Tender(s) received after the due date and time will be rejected.

7. The undersigned reserves the right to accept or reject any tender without assigning any reason thereof.

8. The successful tenderer should pay the full amount immediately as and when call made and clear the old

items within 24 hours at his own risk and cost, failing which the earnest money deposit will be forfeited.

9. No claim on the quantity and quality for the articles will be admitted once the tender is finalised.

10. The intending tenderers can inspect the articles during office hours in the Transport Department,

Puducherry.

11. In case of any dispute, the decision of the undersigned will be the final.

12. The old records which kept for sale should be shredded properly by the successful tenderer in the

presence of undersigned and the acceptance letter should be given after the completion of shredding process to

the Transport Department.

13. The highest bid rate will be valid for six months from the date of the issue of the acceptance letter by

the undersigned.

14. GST will be collected on the sale of old records as per the rates prevailing at the time of disposal/sale.

Bidders with registered Goods and Service Tax (GST) only must participate in the tender.

The Petroleum Pump Dealers are hereby informed that the seized 5800 litres of diesel in Crime No. 03/

2024 of the Food Cell Police Station. The same will be disposed off in as-is-where-is condition by tender on 12-02-2025

at 11.00 a.m.

Terms and Conditions

1. The sealed covers should be addressed to the Superintendent of Police, Food Cell Police Station, duly

superscribing on the envelope as “Auction for purchase of diesel” should reach the Office of the Inspector of

Police, Mahe Circle, Mahe, on or before 5.00 p.m. on 05-02-2025. The sealed covers will be opened at 11.00 a.m.

on 12-02-2025 in the presence of tenderers present if any, in the Office of the Circle Inspector of Police, Mahe

Police Station Complex, Mahe Main Road, Mahe-673 310 (rate quote per litre for each seized items of diesel separately

if any variation).

2. The diesel auctioned would be awarded to the highest bidder on the spot.

3. The intending bidders should deposit an earnest money deposit of 500 (Rupees five hundred only)

Demand Draft to be drawn in favour of “The Superintendent of Police, Food Cell, Puducherry” along with

sealed bid. The earnest money deposit of the unsuccessful tenderers will be refunded on the same day soon after

completion of auction.

4. The successful bidder should pay the entire amount soon after the completion of the auction and should

clear the auctioned diesel at his own arrangement/cost before 5.00 p.m. on the same day, failing which the Station

will not be held responsible either for the safe custody or loss or damage of items once the auction is over.

5. GST/Sales tax will be charged extra as per the rate applicable, at the time of tender sale.

6. No claim on the quantity or quality of the items will be admitted once the tender sale is over.

7. The intending bidders can inspect the items of seized diesel during the office hours on any working day

but, on or before the auction date at this Food Cell(PS) with the permission of the undersigned.

8. The bids offered after the due date and time will be rejected.

9. The undersigned reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bidders without assigning any reason

thereof. If, the auction date falls on a public holiday, the auction will be held on the next working day.

10. Auction is subjected to the discretion of the undersigned whose decision will be the final in case of any

dispute.

11. Along with the bid, a copy of any one of the following self-attested documents should be

submitted.
