On the recommendations of the Departmental
Promotion Committee convened by the Union Public
Service Commission, New Delhi vide Letter F.No. 1/6(1)/
2025-PD-7, dated 21-02-2025 of the Union Public
Service Commission, New Delhi, ad hoc services of
Thiru V. Balasubramanian, Planning and Research
Department, Karaikal, is regularized in the post of
Joint Director with effect from 01-01-2025.
2. Thiru V. Balasubramanian, Joint Director, is placed
on Probation for a period of two years with effect from
01-01-2025.

NOTIFICATION
On the recommendations of the Departmental
Promotion Committee convened by the Union Public
Service Commission, New Delhi vide Letter F.No. 1/6(1)/
2025-PD-7, dated 21-02-2025 of the Union Public Service
Commission, New Delhi, Thiru M. Thirunavukarasu,
Deputy Director, Planning and Research Department,
Karaikal, is promoted to the post of Joint Director
(Group ‘A’ Gazetted), on regular basis with immediate
effect.
2. On promotion, Thiru M. Thirunavukarasu,
Deputy Director, is transferred and posted in the Planning
and Research Department, Puducherry, against the existing
vacancy. The Officer shall be placed on probation for a
period of two years with effect from the date of joining
in the promoted post.
3. Thiru M. Thirunavukarasu will draw Pay in Level 10
of Pay Matrix plus other allowances as admissible under
rules. He shall have the option to have pay fixed as per
proviso under rule 22(I)(a)(i) of Fundamental Rules,
which must be exercised within one month from the date
of issue of this Notification.
4. If the officer fails to report for duty on or before
10-04-2025, it will be presumed that he has declined the
promotion offered and he will not be considered for
promotion for a period of one year from the date of
issue of this Notification.
5. This regular promotion is subject to the outcome
of (i) Jarnail Singh batch of cases in the Hon’ble
Supreme Court of India and (ii) O.A. No. 229/2023 titled
Thiru N. Nagalingame Periane Vs. UOI and Others in the
Hon’ble CAT., Madras Bench.
