NOTIFICATION

The Lieutenant-Governor of Puducherry is pleased to approve the

Amendment of “The Puducherry free supply of 10 kilogram of rice and

5 kilogram of wheat every month to all Ration Card-Holders Rules”,

2015 namely:-

1. Short title and commencement.— (1) These rules may be called

as “The Puducherry Free Supply of Rice, Wheat and Supply of Edible

Oil and Other Essential Food-Grains Every Month at Subsidized Prices

to All Ration Card-Holders (Amendment) Rules, 2025”.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of publication in the

Official Gazette.



(3) They shall extend to the whole of the Union territory of

Puducherry.

2. In the Puducherry free supply of 10 kilogram of rice and

5 kilogram of wheat every month to all Ration Card-Holders Rules, 2015,

in rule 5 after sub-rule (2), the following shall be inserted, namely: -

“(3) The Government will also supply 2 kgs. of wheat every

month at free of cost to all the PHH (BPL/AAY) Ration Card-Holders

and non-PHH (APL) Ration Card-Holders of Union territory of

Puducherry excluding Government servant and Honorary Ration

Card-Holders”.
