NOTIFICATION

The Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry, is pleased to make the

following Amendment to the Rules the “Perunthalaivar Karmaveerar

Kamaraj Scheme for Financial Assistance towards funeral expenses of

the Differently Abled Person who are in receipt of financial and

other assistance from the Social Welfare Department” notified vide

(1) G.O. Ms. No. 20/2004-Wel(SW-V), dated 10-06-2004 of the Under

Secretary to Government (Welfare), Puducherry and Amendments in

(2) G.O. Ms. No. 44/2005/Wel(SW-V), dated 06-10-2005 of the Under

Secretary to Government (Welfare), Puducherry, (3) G.O. Ms. No. 4/DSW/

2013-14, dated 30-01-2014 of the Under Secretary to Government

(Social Welfare), Puducherry, (4) G.O. Ms. No. l7/SWS/2019-20, dated

16-09-2019 of the Under Secretary to Government (Social Welfare),

Puducherry and (5) G.O. Ms. No. 02/SWS/2022-23, dated 25-04-2022 of

the Under Secretary to Government (Social Welfare), Puducherry, for the

enhancement of financial assistance towards funeral expenses as

follows:

AMENDMENT

In the said rules, in sub-rule(l) of rule 8, G.O. Ms. No. 02/SWS/

2022-23, dated 25-04-2022 of the Under Secretary to Government

(Social Welfare), Puducherry, for the letters and figures “

15,000”

thereof, the letters and figures “ 25,000” shall be substituted.

2. The enhanced rate of funeral expenses shall effect from the date

of issue of this Order.

3. This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Department,

Puducherry vide their I.D.E.Comp No. 38852/FD/F5/Al/FC/2025-26, dated

09-06-2025.
