(G.O. Ms. No. 70, Puducherry, dated 02nd October 2025)

NOTIFICATION

The Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry, is pleased to

declare that Friday, the 03rd October, 2025 will be

a holiday for all Government Offices including all Public

Sector Undertakings, Educational Institutions (including

Professional Colleges) in all regions of Union territory

of Puducherry, on account of extension of Pooja

Holidays Celebrations.

2. 25th October, 2025 (Saturday) will be a compensatory

working day in lieu of the above leave.

3. This leave is not covered under Negotiable

Instruments Act, 1881.

NOTIFICATION

The Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry, is pleased to

declare that Tuesday, the 21st October, 2025 will be a

holiday for all Government Offices including Government

Undertakings / Boards / Educational Institutions (including

Professional Colleges) and for all Banking Institutions

including Co-operative Banks in Puducherry, Karaikal

and Yanam regions of Union territory of Puducherry on

account of Deepavali.

2. 15th November, 2025 (Saturday) will be a

compensatory working day in lieu of the above Holiday.

3. This holiday is covered under Negotiable

Instruments Act, 1881.

4. It is also ordered that 20-10-2025 (Monday) will

also be a holiday for Yanam region on account of

Deepavali under Negotiable Instrument Act, 1881.
