NOTIFICATION
In pursuance of paragraph 8 of the Scheme set forth in Schedule-B
to the Notification issued under G.O. Ms. No. 200, dated the 6th August, 1980
of the Local Administration Department, Government of Puducherry,
the General Committee of the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, hereby makes
the following Bye-laws further to amend the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund
(Grant of Financial Assistance to Media Person) Bye-laws, 1999, issued

Office of the Council of Ministers, Government of Puducherry and
published in Part-II of the Extraordinary Gazette No. 8, dated 23rd
February, 1999 and amended vide Notification No. 8-106/OCM/A2/
1998-99, dated 11th April, 2002 and amended vide Notification No. 8-106/
OCM/A2/1998-99, dated 16th November, 2002, and amended vide
Notification No. 8-105/OCM/CMRF/A2/Amend-Media Person/2016, dated
24th January, 2017 and published in Part-II of the Extraordinary Gazette
No. 5, dated 8th February, 2017, namely:—
1. Short title.— These Bye-laws may be called the Chief
Minister’s Relief Fund (Grant of Financial Assistance to the Media
Person) [Amendment] Bye-laws, 2025.
2. Amendment of para 2.— In para 2 of the Chief Minister’s Relief
Fund (Grant of Financial Assistance to the Media Person) Bye-laws, 2017
(hereinafter referred to the said Bye-laws), in Clause (a), “Financial
Assistance” means a sum of
50,000 as a one-time measure shall be
substituted as–
“Financial Assistance” means a sum of
50,000 on completion
of 10 years of service, 50,000 on completion of 20 years of service and
25,000 on completion of 25 years of service.
3. Amendment in para 5.— In para 5 of the said Bye-laws, for the
words and figures
50,000 shall be substituted as–
“The amount of Financial Assistance that may be granted under
these Bye-laws shall not exceed
50,000 on completion of 10 years of
service,
50,000 on completion of 20 years of service and
25,000 on
completion of 25 years of service.”
4. Amendment in para 6.— In para 6 of the said Bye-laws for the
words, “Media Person who have completed 10 years shall submit an
application in Form-I and Media Person who completed 20 years and
have received Financial Assistance from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund
shall submit an application in Form-IA for the grant of Financial
Assistance under these Bye-laws to the Member-Secretary-cum-
Treasurer accompanied by the following Certificates” shall be
substituted as–

“Media Persons those who have completed 10 years/20 years/
25 years service shall submit Form-I for the grant of Financial Assistance
under these Bye-laws to the Member-Secretary-cum-Treasurer
accompanied with the following Certificates.”
5. Amendment in Form.— In the said Bye-laws, the existing
application Form-IA shall be removed and application Form-I, Form-III
and Form-IV shall be modified as–
“In Form-I, consolidation of Form-I for 10 years, 20 years and
appending form for 25 years, in Form-III, Deletion of words “more than
10 years” and in Form-IV, incorporate “(10 years/20 years/25 years)”
