NOTIFICATION

The 10th Febuary, 2020

No.24/84/2013-LR-1/1880.-Whereas, under section 4(6) of The Right to Fair Compensation and

Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 (Act No. 30 of 2013) a Social

Impact Assessment (SIA) study is required to be carried out and Social Impact Management Plan (SIMP) is to

be prepared, before making preliminary notification u/s 11 of the said Act.

Whereas, the Department of Anthropology, Panjab University, Chandigarh, Department of Sociology

& Social Anthropology, Punjabi University Patiala, Punjab Agriculture University, Ludhiana and State Institute

of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Vikas Bhawan , Sector 62, Phase-8 SAS Nagar have already been

notified as State Social Impact Assessment Authorities.

Now the Guru Nanak Dev University Amritsar is also notified as a State Social Impact Assessment

Authority, For having SlAs conducted and SIMPs prepared as per provisions of the Act, ibid.

4.

The Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar shall be at liberty to accept or not to accept the task in any

particular case that the different Administrative Departments may refer to it.
