NOTIFICATION FOR COMMENCEMENT OF SIA
The 6th July, 2020
No.7/54/2017-1B&R3/173/1-4.-Whereas it appears to the Government of Punjab that the land is
required in the Jurisdiction of Punjab Government, at public expense, for public purpose, namely, for Construction
of New BG Railway Line from Bhanupali to Bilaspur-Beri.
The Land Acquisition Award No. 2 was announced on 22.11.2019 under Section 23(1) for acquiring
Land in 6 villages i.e. Kalitran, Daroli, Dohnal, Nangli, Jindwari and Thalluh of Tehsil Nangal for this purpose.
During taking possession by Railway Department on the spot, it was brought to attention by the Railway
Department that some area which has been acquired in the award is not covered in the Right of Way of the
Railway Alignment. A Committee was formed by the Land Acquisition Collector to investigate this matter. As
per the report submitted by the Committee, some area which has been acquired in the Award is not covered in
the Right of Way of Railway Line Alignment and is not required by the Railway Department.
Since the possession of the acquired land has not been taken, so under Section 93(1) of RFCTLARRA
2013 "The appropriate government shall be at liberty to withdraw from any of the lands which have not been
occupied''.
Therefore, the following area village-wise of the above mentioned village which is being withdrawn
from the acquisition of Award No. 2 dated 22.11.2019 under the above section:
