Notification for Commencement of SIA
The 14th July, 2020
No. PWD-BR307/4/2020-1BR3/49167/2020.-The State Government, in the large public interest,
intends to acquire the land for Construction of Road Over Bridge in Lieu of Level Crossing No. C-154 on
Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor (EDFC) in consultation with the Panchayat of Rattanheri village in the
affected area and carry out a Social Impact Assessment Study for public purpose. The study shall be undertaken
as per the provisions of section 4.1 of "Right to fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition,
Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013."

Brief description of the proposed Project.-
A Road Over Bridge is proposed in lieu of Level Crossing No. C-154 of Ambala-Ludhiana Railway
Section in Focal Point, near Markfed , from G.T. Road to Village Rattanheri under EDFC Scheme. GAD of this
Road Over Bridge has been prepared at 1134 Meter from existing level crossing towards Ambala Side. The
total length of Road Over Bridge will be 860 Meter and railway portion will be 37.2 m. A service road 5.5 meter
is provided along the approaches of Road Over Bridge on Rattanheri side.
The project area and the affected areas:-
Village Rattanheri, Tehsil Khanna in Distt. Ludhiana.
