NOTIFICATION
The 24th July, 2020
No.5/62/2016/MEO/DA/1657.- In exercise of the Powers conferred by Sub-Rule (1) of Rule 3 of
the Delimitation of Wards of Municipalities Rules, 1972 (read with amended Rule 3 (1) (vi)), and all other
powers enabling him in this behalf, the Governor of Punjab is pleased to constitute the Delimitation Board
consisting of the following members for the purpose of delimitation of wards of Nagar Council, Gurdaspur
District Gurdaspur.
1.
Deputy Commissioner, Gurdaspur or any other officer nominated by him in this behalf ;
2.
Member of Legislative Assembly representing the concerned Nagar Council, Gurdaspur;
3.
Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Gurdaspur;
4.
Deputy Director, Urban Local Bodies, Amritsar;
5.
Administrator, Nagar Council, Gurdaspur;
6.
Executive Officer, Nagar Council, Gurdaspur;
7.
Sh. Rajwant Singh S/o Sh. Raj Kumar Singh, Civil Line, Gurdaspur (member nominated by the
Government vide Notification No.5/24/2016/MEO/DA/316, Dated 04-03-2020).
8.
Sh. Saharanjeet Singh S/o Sh. Surinder Singh, Ward No. 09, Pahra (member nominated by the
Government vide Notification No.5/24/2016/MEO/DA/316, Dated 04-03-2020)
2.
As per provisions of Rule 5(6) of the Delimitation of wards of Municipalities Rules, 1972, the
Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Gurdaspur shall be the Chairman of the Board. In his absence, the members present
shall elect one member who shall preside over the meeting of the Board as its Chairman.
