NOTIFICATION
The 28th July, 2020
No.5/14/2020/MEO/DA/1783.-In exercise of the Powers conferred by Rule 3 of the Delimitation of
Wards of Municipal Corporation Order, 1995 and all other powers enabling him in this behalf, the Governor of
Punjab is pleased to constitute the Delimitation Board consisting of the following members for the purpose of
fresh delimitation of wards of Municipal Corporation, Batala, District Gurdaspur:-
1.
Deputy Commissioner, Gurdaspur or any other officer nominated by him in this behalf ;
2.
Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Batala;
3.
Member(s) of the Punjab Legislative Assembly representing the Municipal Corporation, Batala
wholly or partly;
4.
Deputy Director, Urban Local Bodies, Amritsar;
5.
Additional/Joint /Assistant Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Batala;
6.
Sh. Kulbhushan Vig S/o Tarlok Chand, Poorian Mohalla, Near Sekhdi House, Batala. District
Gurdaspur (member nominated by the Government vide Notification No.5/25/2016/MEO/DA/
307, Dated 04-03-2020).
7.
Sh. Sukhdeep Singh Teja S/o Sh. Gurdeep Singh, Umarpura, Batala. District Gurdaspur (member
nominated by the Government vide Notification No.5/24/2016/MEO/DA/307, Dated 04.03.2020).
2.
As per provisions of Sub Clause (1) of Clause 5 of the Delimitation of Wards of Municipal Corporation
Order, 1995, the Director Local Government Punjab shall be the Chairman of the Board. In his absence,
Chairman may be elected amongst from the members present in the meeting.
