NOTIFICATION

The 4th August, 2020

No. S.O. 23/P.A. 5/2017/S.3/2020.- In exercise of the powers

conferred by section 3 read with section 5 of the Punjab Goods and Service

Tax Act, 2017 (Punjab Act No. 5 of 2017), and all other powers enabling him

in this behalf, the Governor of Punjab is pleased to appoint Shri Nilkanth

S. Avhad, I.A.S., as Commissoiner of State Tax for the purposes of the said

Act, on the 16th June,2020 i.e. with effect from the date, he assumed the

charge as such.

the Government of Punjab, Department of Excise and Taxation, Notification

No. S.O. 7/P.A. 8/2005/S.3/2017, dated the 25th April, 2017 and in exercise of

the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 of the Punjab Value

Added Tax Act, 2005 (Punjab Act No. 8 of 2005) ,and all other powers enabling

him in this behalf, the Governor of Punjab is pleased to appoint Shri Nilkanth

S. Avhad, I.A.S., as Taxation Commissioner for the purposes of the said Act,on

NOTIFICATION

No. S.O. 25/P.A. 1/P.A. 1/1914/S.9/2020.- In supersession of

the Government of Punjab, Department of Excise and Taxation, Notification

No. S.O. 6/P.A. 1/1914/S.9/2017 dated the 25th April, 2017 and in exercise of

the powers conferred by section 9 of the Punjab Excise Act, 1914 (Punjab Act

No. 1 of 1914), and all other powers enabling him in this behalf, the Governor

of Punjab is pleased to appoint Shri Rajat Aggarwal, I.A.S., as Commissioner

for the purposes of the said Act, on and with effect from the date, he assumed

the charge as such, and is further pleased to,-

•

vest in him all the powers of the Financial Commissioner under the Act

except the powers under sub-section(4) of section 15 of the aforesaid

Act; and

•

to hear the apppeals against the orders passed by the Excise Officer for

grant or renewal of L-1 License under the Punjab Excise Powers and

Appeal Orders, 1956.

NOTIFICATION

The 4th August, 2020

No. G.S.R. 48/Const./Art.309/Amd.(2)/2020.-In exercise of the

powers conferred by the provisio to article 309 of the Constitution of India, and

all other powers enabling him in this behalf, the Governor of Punjab is pleased

to make the following rules further to amend the Punjab Financial

Commissioners' Secretariat (Group-A) Service Rules, 2016, namely:-

RULES

(1)

These rules may be called the Punjab Financial Commissioners'

Secretariat (Group-A) (Second Amendment) Service Rules, 2020.

(2)

They shall come into force on and with effect from the date of their

publication in the Official Gazette.

In the Punjab Financial Commissioners' Secretariat (Group-A)

Service Rules, 2016, in Appendix 'B', against serial Nos. 3, 4, 6 and 8, under

column 4, for the words "five years", the words "four years" shall be substituted.
