NOTIFICATION
The 4th September, 2020
No.5/24/2016/MEO/DA/2170.- In exercise of the Powers conferred by Sub-Rule (1) of Rule 3 of
the Delimitation of Wards of Municipalities Rules, 1972 (read with amended Rule 3 (1) (vi)), and all other
powers enabling him in this behalf, the Governor of Punjab is pleased to constitute the Delimitation Board
consisting of the following members for the purpose of delimitation of wards of Municipal Council, Nurmahal
District Jalandhar :-
1.
Deputy Commissioner, Jalandhar or any other officer nominated by him in this behalf ;
2.
Member of Legislative Assembly representing the concerned Municipal Council, Nurmahal District
Jalandhar;
3.
Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Phillaur;
4.
Deputy Director, Urban Local Bodies, Jalandhar;
5.
Administrator, Municipal Council, Nurmahal;
6.
Executive Officer, Municipal Council, Nurmahal;
7.
Sh. Jung Bahadur S/o Sh. Som Dutt, Kohlian Mohalla, Nurmahal, Jalandhar. (member nominated
by the Government vide Notification No.5/24/2016/MEO/DA/2119, Dated 04-09-2020) and
8.
Sh. Manoj Kumar S/o Sh. Prem Chand, Mohalla Shaikhan, Nurmahal, Jalandhar. (member nominated
by the Government vide Notification No.5/24/2016/MEO/DA/2119, Dated 04-09-2020).
2.
As per provisions of Rule 5(6) of the Delimitation of wards of Municipalities Rules, 1972, the
Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Phillaur shall be the Chairman of the Board. In his absence, the members present
shall elect one member who shall preside over the meeting of the Board as its Chairman.
