NOTIFICATION

The 2nd September, 2020

No. 18/05/20-5hg2/1626.- Whereas the Industrial Policy 2003 provided concessions for setting up of

Mega Housing Projects in the State of Punjab.

1.

Whereas Mega Housing Project of M/S Janta Land Promoters Pvt. Limited for an area of 290 falling in

villages Sector 66-A, 82 & 83 Distt. SAS Nagar was approved by the Empowered. Committee in its

meeting held on 16-03-2011. Agreement was executed between the Government of Punjab through

Additional Secretary, Department of Industries and Commerce, Punjab on 30-05-2011. Subsequently,

Supplementary Agreement was signed on 13-12-2016 on 25-10-2016 for additional area of 221.70

acres. Now amounting a total area 511.70 acres. As per report of Chief Town Planner, Punjab, net

planned area of this project as on today 242.40 acres.

Whereas exemption under section 44(2) of Punjab Apartment and Property Regulation Act,1995 has

already been granted by the Government for 207.86 acres of area of this project vide notification

No.CTP(Pb.)/SMP(M)-2/3395 dated 23-12-2011.

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers vested under section - 44(2) of the Punjab Apartment &

Property Regulation (Amendment) Act,2014, exemption is hereby granted for remaining 34.54 acres of

land of this project from the provisions of this Act except Section 5(11), Sections 6 to Section 20,

Section 32 and Sections 36 to Section 39, subject, to the same terms and conditions as mentioned in

exemption vide notification No.CTP(Pb.)/SMP(M)-2/3395 dated 23-12-2011.

The promoter shall strictly abide by the aforesaid legal agreements executed with the Government of

Punjab as well as I nstructionsl Notifications issued by the Government or Department of Housing and Urban

Development, from time to time.
