NOTIFICATION

The 23rd September, 2020

No. 24/49/2020-LR-1(1)/9512.-In pursuance of clause (g) of section 3 of the Right to Fair Compensation

and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 (Central Act 30 of 2013) and

all other powers enabling him in this behalf, the Governor of Punjab is pleased to appoint the Dirtrict Revenue

Officers as Competent Authority for Land Acquisition (CALA) (by virtue of the post) to exercise the powers as

such within their respective Jurisdiction in the State of Punjab for the future project of National Highway

Authority of India (NHAI) under the National Highways Act, 1956 subject to the condition that the said officers

shall have passed the relevant papers in the departmental examination conducted by the State Government from

time to time.

Note: For the purpose of this notificaton, the relevant paper means Revenue and Civil Law (at least in lower

standard), for conferring the powers of Collector.
