NOTIFICATION
The 12th October, 2020
No.5/24/2016/MEO/DA/3255.-In exercise of the Powers conferred by Sub-Rule (1) of Rule 3 of the
Delimitation of Wards of Municipalities Rules, 1972 (read with amended Rule 3 (1) (vi)), and all other powers
enabling him in this behalf, the Governor of Punjab is pleased to constitute the Delimitation Board consisting of
the following members for the purpose of delimitation of wards of Municipal Council, Dhariwal District Gurdaspur.
1.
Deputy Commissioner, Gurdaspur or any other officer nominated by him in this behalf ;
2.
Member of Legislative Assembly representing the concerned Municipal Council, Dhariwal.
3.
Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Gurdaspur;
4.
Deputy Director, Urban Local Bodies, Amritsar;
5.
Administrator, Municipal Council, Dhariwal;
6.
Executive Officer, Municipal Council, Dhariwal;
7.
Sh. Ashwani Kumar Duggal S/o Sh. Vidya Rattan Duggal, Ward No. 10, Misson Hospital, Dhariwal
Distt. Gurdaspur, Mob. No. 99881-93656 (member nominated by the Government vide Notification
No.5/24/2016/MEO/DA/ 3057, Dated 12th October 2020).

Sh. Kanwar Partap Singh Gill S/o Sh. Ranjit Singh, House No. 472, Ward No. 8, P/O Dhariwal,
Tehsil and Distt. Gurdaspur, Mob No. 98550-55515 (member nominated by the Government vide
Notification No.5/24/2016/MEO/DA/3057, Dated 12th October 2020).

As per provisions of Rule 5(6) of the Delimitation of wards of Municipalities Rules, 1972, the
Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Gurdaspur shall be the Chairman of the Board. In his absence, the members present
shall elect one member who shall preside over the meeting of the Board as its Chairman.
