NOTIFICATION

The 11th November, 2020

No. 13/1/2020/5Edu 7/301.-Consequent upon the approval of the Council of Ministers accorded in

its meeting held on 23-9-2020, in order to mitigate hardship being faced by the persons, who have been working

since a long period as Sikhiya Provider/ Education Providers/ Education Volunteers, EGS Volunteers, AIE

Volunteers and Special Training Resource (STR) Volunteers under various educational schemes/programs on

fixed remuneration in the Department of School Education of the State of Punjab, they are held entitled to the

following weightage and concession at the time of recruitment of regular ETT teachers or against newly

created posts of Pre Primary School Teachers with the formation of the Punjab State Elementary Education

(Pre Primary School Teachers) Group ‘C’ Service Rules, 2020, as and when advertised by the Department.

(i)

The upper age limit shall be relaxed upto the extent such persons have gained experience in their

credit.

(ii)

A special credit shall be given in selection process to these volunteers @ 1.0 mark per year with

maximum of 10 marks.

The aforesaid weightage and concession shall also be applicable in the ongoing recruitment process

which is yet to be concluded finally.
